ABU DHABI DO'S AND DONT'S
- However hospitable it seems, don’t offer alcohol to Muslims
- Photographing people without permission, particularly women, could offend
- Don’t stare at local women
- Eating, drinking or smoking in public places during Ramadan is not allowed
- Never drink and drive
- Showing the soles of your feet when sitting with people is offensive
- Accept hospitality – it is considered polite
- Keep beachwear on the beach or by the pool
- Once a price has been agreed, don’t barter lower
- Allow your hosts to lead you in social situations, etiquette is not always the same as in UK
- Don’t kiss partners in public places except as a greeting
